I like to visit my parents every 6 weeks or so, and on holidays. They live 300 miles away. If you drive 300 miles with 3 little kids, you’re going to want to stay for a while! I usually stay 5-7 days; you just can’t make the trip in a weekend. So, if I were sending my oldest child to kindergarten, (which she would have started this fall), we all would have had to stay home just for her to go to school. That means that her younger siblings (the youngest is 16 months now) would be significantly deprived of visiting their grandparents and cousins, just because they happen to have an older sister in school. How awful! So today’s reason to homeschool is the freedom to travel.
Ironically, my parents can’t come to me to visit, because they babysit my niece while her mom works — she’s a teacher at a public school.
I like the “post script.” ;-)
You should post these to your FB page.
