An apologia is a defense. That’s what this page is . . . a justification for homeschooling.
Why does it even exist? Because some people have a hard time accepting the decision to homeschool and we wanted to spell it out as best we can why we are doing what we’re doing.
Rather than re-post them all here, we’re gonna make you work for it a bit. Click the links below to read through some of the posts which detail our thoughts and methods in this endeavor.
First, check our (May Someday Be) Frequently Asked Questions. It contains our first thoughts on the subject and some good information in general.
Next is our expanded plan of topics we will try to use as a roadmap for our childrens’ education: Things We want Our Children to Learn
Finally, we have a triptych of posts in response to questions from an English friend of mine:
- A Discussion of “Things I want My Children to Learn”
- More Q&A about Why We Are Homeschooling
- Homeschooling, Socialization, and Achievement
There will be more to come as we continue our exploration of homeschooling. Check back every once in a while and see if we’ve added anything (perhaps in response to a comment?).
Speaking of comments, please share your thoughts with us either on the individual posts or on this page. We would appreciate any feedback you might offer.
